The darbuka is a percussion instrument of Arabic origin used throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

Produces two main sounds that form the basis of his technique: a low sound (dum) and other high (tac), but you can get more effects depending on the technique used. In Egypt it is called Tabla (a generic word to designate percussion instruments)
