The mouthpiece has a brass tube that slides over the inside of the body allowing a small margin of variation in the length to be able to compensate for slight detunings that can arise with the temperature. The slide makes tuning adjustment easy and smooth.
Whistle reproducing the sound of a steam train.
This whistle can be used to demonstrate how a mouthpiece instrument works, highlight the principle of the bevel and explain how it produces 4 sounds at the same time.
It is possible to modulate the sounds of this whistle by blowing air more or less strongly through the mouthpiece.
Made of wood, it is an effective, natural, easy to carry and solid instrument.
To explain how the bevels work, you just have to block 3 of the 4 to hear only one note, then 2 to hear only 2 notes, and thus we clearly understand the “train” effect when all 4 sound together.

The Clariphone is a wind instrument with a clarinet mouthpiece invented and manufactured by Sans Luthier. It is an evolution of the Keyless Chalumeau, which does not get 2 full octaves. With the modification that is incorporated in the clariphone, the range of the instrument increases to more than two and a half octaves, from Si -1 to sun 2, inspired by the Italian Ciaramella and the Catalan Flabiol. A playable hole is added with the little finger of the left hand. It is 33 cm long, 8 holes in the upper part and one in the lower part. Tuned in Do. Includes sleeve, nozzle with measuring rod and cork grease.

You hold it against your chest while playing, and you can use it with straight or angled earphone/MIDI connector. It snaps on nicely to the top bit of the chanter, and there's plenty of room around the top thumb contact.
