What is peculiar about the Peñaparda square drum is the way it is played with one hand on one side and a wooden baton on the other, which allows a wide interpretive possibility in terms of rhythms and showiness.
Large gourd with a plaited seednet and a free playing surface on the bottom, Cuban style. Bright, penetrant sound of the seeds, deep bass when the bottom is struck.
Double reed mouth harp.

Frame drum with snare. Tunable. 6 tension points (9 in the 50cms. diameter model) with a distance of 20 mm. Specially selected goatskin drumhead. The snare can slacken, so if we play with a certain angle, do not rub the skin and its effect disappears. Manufactured by Victor Barral. Made in Spain.

Tam Tam gongs have a curved edge, which makes them have a more concentrated sound, not as expansive as Feng gongs.
They have 3 zones with different colors and thicknesses. The center and the rim are black and a central golden area is lowered and therefore finer.
