Synthetic drum head, which means that it does not suffer variations in tension with changes in humidity. Two opposite cloth tapes fixed to the frame, to hold the tambourine with the thumb. What is peculiar about the Peñaparda square drum is the way it is played with one hand on one side and a wooden baton on the other, which allows a wide interpretive possibility in terms of rhythms and showiness.
