Peñaparda square drum - tunable

Price €160.00
Peñaparda square drum to play with a mallet. Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 7 cm. 8 tensioners integrated into the frame. Goat head. Two opposite cloth tapes fixed to the frame, to hold the tambourine with the thumb. Mallet included. Allen key, included. Made in Spain by Victor Barral. IMPORTANT: Being a completely handmade instrument, the craftsman can make slight modifications, which will generally involve improvements, which may make the photos slightly different from the current ones. What is peculiar about the Peñaparda square drum is the way it is played with one hand on one side and a wooden baton on the other, which allows a wide interpretive possibility in terms of rhythms and showiness. With the mallet, the bass sounds are achieved when the head is struck, the highest sound hitting the frame with the mallet, and a medium sound by beating with the other hand directly on the skin.
