The 9-note Kalimba Hokema is handcrafted in Germany from solid cherry wood. The wood is treated with vegetable oils and waxes. The sheets are precisely tuned in A pentatonic minor allowing for intuitive and free play.

The special feature of the Sansula is its unbelievable sound. Whereby the clear and aesthetic design is most appealing. The oval frame of laminated beechwood is fitted with a membrane which, together with the resonating block, produces a prolonged, soft tone. Furthermore, an impressive 'wah-wah' effect can be produced by holding the instrument against the body, on the thigh or laying it on a table and then alternately raising and lowering it while playing.
