Sansula Renaissance is a wonderful instrument based on the African kalimba. Starting from this original instrument, Hokema has placed the kalimba suspended from a membrane that has the effect of extend the duration of the sound and amplifying the sound in a natural way. By zooming in and out of the bottom of the Sansula to a solid surface, a curious wa-wa effect can be produced.
The Renaissance model differs from the basic model in that the membrane is made with a super resistant membrane from the Remo brand, which is usually used as a percussion instrument head, maintaining the loudness practically 100% compared to the basic model.
Bansuri flutes from India made by Anand Dhotre, a prestigious maker in India. The indicated tonality refers to the note that is achieved by covering the first 3 holes, which is how it is defined in India. In parentheses is the major key that is achieved from the lowest note, covering the six holes. That is, each flute is in the major key indicated in parentheses.
