The Remo Fiberskyn® 3 Frame Drum is provided with a thumb notch on the 12", 14", 16" and 22" drums, and four holes located around the circumference of the ACOUSTICONT shell, excluding the 10" & 8" sizes.
This is a support for the top part of the chanter for anyone who needs the added stability. You hold it against your chest while playing, and you can use it with straight or angled earphone/MIDI connector. It snaps on nicely to the top bit of the chanter, and there's plenty of room around the top thumb contact.
