THE 12-STRINGED LYRE - can be tuned pentatonic as well as diatonic. In order to simplify orientation this lyre has red and blue strings to make it easier to find the right string. Sansula Renaissance is a wonderful instrument based on the African kalimba. Starting from this original instrument, Hokema has placed the kalimba suspended from a membrane that has the effect of extend the duration of the sound and amplifying the sound in a natural way. By zooming in and out of the bottom of the Sansula to a solid surface, a curious wa-wa effect can be produced.
The Renaissance model differs from the basic model in that the membrane is made with a super resistant membrane from the Remo brand, which is usually used as a percussion instrument head, maintaining the loudness practically 100% compared to the basic model.
